Becoming A Responsible Teen Training of Facilitators

September 19 & 20, 2012

This training will introduce participants to a research proven curriculum – Becoming A Responsible Teen! (or BART) An HIV Risk Reduction Program for Adolescents –and will provide the skills necessary to implement this curriculum with youth.BART is an HIV prevention curriculum designed primarily for African-American adolescents, ages 14-18, in non-school, community-based settings. It consists of eight sessions, 1.5 to 2 hours each, and includes interactive group discussions and role plays that have been created by teens.  Although the focus of BART is HIV/AIDS prevention, the curriculum includes topics and activities relevant to teen pregnancy prevention. COST:    $120 (RegistrationONLY - I am bringing a copy of BART with me)

               

If you are not purchasing a curriculum through the SC Campaign you MUST bring a copy with you to the training in order to attend.

               

CREDIT: MAPPS, non-Social Work contact hours, Licensed Counselors,CHES, and General Continuing Education Units
